Bilal Gul is an immigration and refugee lawyer at Lewis & Associates LLP in Toronto, called to the Ontario Bar in March 2024, with degrees from Ankara University and University of Toronto . His practice focuses on Federal Court judicial reviews, deportation and removal defense, stay of removal motions, deferral of removals, refugee appeals before the Refugee Appeal Division (RAD), and pre-removal risk assessments (PRRA). He also handles humanitarian and compassionate (H&C) applications and business immigration matters including LMIA and work permit applications.
Bilal has successfully obtained Federal Court orders setting aside negative decisions, secured consent orders on judicial review, obtained stays of removal and deferrals of removal for clients facing deportation, and successfully argued complex appeals before RAD. He regularly represents clients before the Refugee Protection Division (RPD), the Refugee Appeal Division (RAD), and the Federal Court of Canada in immigration and refugee proceedings involving procedural fairness and administrative decision-making.
