As an immigrant, Josef Brown has had a continued relationship with immigration throughout his life. Hailing from the Island Nation of Jamaica, raised in the southern United States, emigrating to Canada, to working for the leading Refugee Law firm in the Country for the past decade.
In 2012, upon completion of a successful internship, Josef joined Lewis & Associates LLP as a legal assistant. Since then, Josef has gained immeasurable experience becoming well-versed in various facets of the Refugee application process, Canadian and American Immigration, as well as dozens of legal administrative policies and procedures.
Josef is currently our Senior Law Clerk and is primarily responsible for processing and overseeing the firm’s appeals filed with the Immigration and Refugee Board and the Federal Court of Canada. Over the years in his role with Lewis and Associates LLP, Josef has processed hundreds of immigration and refugee applications, contributing to help people from all corners of the globe find their home in Canada. In his personal life, Josef is a volunteer youth soccer coach, an aviation enthusiast, loving Husband, and doting Dad.
Josef holds certifications as a Law Clerk from Centennial College (2012), and Immigration Consultant, from Humber College (2018).
