Natalie Banka

As a strong believer in equity and inclusion, Natalie is thrilled to have found a field to foster her passions in both refugee and immigration law. Her preferred practice areas are refugee hearings and appeals, federal court litigation, and permanent residence applications.

Natalie Banka was called to the bar in March 2022 but originally joined Lewis & Associates LLP as an articling student in July 2021. Before this, she graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Humanities and subsequently attended the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law.

During her time at the University of Ottawa, she was the co-chair of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Committee’s Ottawa branch and also served as Communications VP of the Family Law in Practice group where she organized seminars with community speakers on topics such as Intimate Partner Violence during COVID-19.

During her spare time, Natalie sings, plays violin and piano, and travels.  She speaks both English and French.
