Selim Boran joined Lewis & Associates LLP as an articling student in January 2025. He holds an LL.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School, where he focused on Canadian public law and deepened his understanding of the Canadian legal system.
Before relocating to Canada, Selim worked as a Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Defense in Turkey. In that role, he specialized in international human rights law, constitutional law, and administrative law. His background in public law brings a thoughtful and informed approach to his legal work in Canada.
At Lewis & Associates LLP, Selim is gaining experience in immigration and refugee law, including appeals and procedural matters. He has a strong interest in the intersection of constitutional rights and administrative decision-making and hopes to build expertise in Charter-based legal challenges in the future.
Outside of his professional work, Selim enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid tennis player, enjoys cooking, and is actively involved in his local community. He is fluent in both English and Turkish.
