Tahira Ali joined Lewis & Associates LLP in January 2024 as an Articling Student. She is a practicing lawyer in Pakistan and expects to be called to the Ontario bar in 2024.
Tahira was born in Pakistan and has received her formal education in Pakistan, the UK, and Canada. She started with a career in teaching but soon found herself drawn to law, and its impact on people’s lives. She obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan, and practiced there for a year before moving back to Canada.
As an immigrant herself, Tahira is determined to help her community members. Tahira works well with clients from all cultures and backgrounds because of her international legal experience in immigration and humanitarian law. Tahira speaks 3 languages fluently: English, Pashto, and Urdu, as well as 2 languages conversationally: Hindi and Punjabi.
When not working, Tahira enjoys reading, baking, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
