Zahra Ashari Ghomi

Zahra Ashari Ghomi is a legal administrative assistant and a caseworker(!) at Lewis and Associates LLP. She is a newcomer to Canada, entering Canada in 2021.

As a newcomer to Canada, she is passionate about working with newcomers and advocating for their rights. She dreams all the displaced people be able to re-root and grow worldwide.

She has a college diploma in community worker program from George Brown College, a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, and a master’s degree in cultural anthropology. Back in her hometown, Iran, she had the privilege to work with documented and undocumented Afghan residents.

Since entering Canada, she worked with non-governmental organizations and volunteered at LGBTQIA+ newcomer services.

Outside the office, she likes to go to cinemas, go on long walks by the lake, and read novels.
